<p>The first female coach in NFL history, Dr. Jen Welter serves as a powerful role model and an inspiring reminder that barriers are meant to be broken. With a career studded with a number of firsts, Dr. Welter made history when she coached the Arizona Cardinals’ inside linebackers for their 2015 training camp. Previously, she became the first woman to coach a men’s professional football league team, as linebacker and special teams coach for the Indoor Football League’s Texas Revolution. She was also the first woman to play running back in a men’s professional football season with the Revolution. In October 2017, her first book, “Play Big” will be released, in which she reveals the grit and determination that it took to be a trailblazer in one of the country’s toughest boys’ clubs. Dr. Welter holds a doctorate degree in psychology and a Master’s in sport psychology. </p>
